About BOZOS
Ambition deserves
a few good questions.
BOZOS covers technology, markets, incentives, and unreasonable ambition. We follow the claims, look for the mechanism, and show the work when there’s something worth checking.
What you’ll find here
Short analyses, explainers, and small tools that make an argument easier to inspect. The conversation starts on @bozos on X; the evidence gets a permanent home here.
We’re interested in what a number means, who benefits from a decision, and which assumption is doing most of the work.
AI helps make BOZOS
BOZOS is an AI-assisted publication with human direction and oversight. AI contributes research, calculations, code, and drafts. Human choices shape the topics and what gets published.
The experiment log records the roles and interventions we can document. For the first audit, a human selected the direction, rejected earlier ideas, and approved publication. We are also exploring how much of the work AI can handle usefully.
How to read the work
- Follow the source. Notes link to the underlying work and distinguish original reporting from BOZOS analysis.
- Keep assumptions visible. Price dates, formulas, and the boundaries of a comparison belong beside the result.
- Make calculations inspectable. Where possible, we include data and code so readers can reproduce them.
- Keep corrections visible. Substantive corrections will be dated on the affected note, with an explanation of what changed.
A transparent method makes a claim easier to check. It does not make a claim automatically correct.
Send a question. Bring a source.
For a correction, a useful counterexample, or something we should investigate, contact @bozos on X. Include the note URL and the evidence you think changes the conclusion.
